H.n.h. Hotels and Resorts opens its first hotel in Rome

•132 rooms, two restaurants, a conference room, a fitness center and a Sky bar

• Opening scheduled for the first semester 2019

H.n.h. Hotels & Resorts S.p.A., one of the largest independent operators in the Italian hospitality industry, mainly active in Northern Italy, announces a new opening in the country’s capital.

H.n.h. Hotels & Resorts S.p.A will manage a newly developed, 4-star Hotel in Rome’s Esquilino district, located at Via Torino n.1, after signing a lease agreement with Reale Immobili S.p.A., the real estate company part of Reale Group, which owns the entire building.

The opening is scheduled for the first half of 2019 following the completion of the renovation and conversion works undertaken by the owners.

Built on the site that, until some years ago, was occupied partly by the Commodore Hotel and partly by executive offices, the hotel will have 132 rooms spread over seven floors. It will also boast a restaurant on the ground floor, a multi-purpose conference room and a large top-floor bar-restaurant with spectacular views of the city's skyline.

The interior spaces will be arranged around the common areas of the Skylight Hall: the inner rooms, spread out over the building’s various floors, will overlook a central courtyard which, like a covered "cloister", opens onto the Reception area and the main restaurant.

The Hotel, situated between Termini Station and the vibrant Rione Monti, will be located in a strategic location that will attract both leisure and business travelers, thanks to its proximity to the capital's most popular tourist attractions as well as to the railway station and the many diplomatic and government offices in the area.

Brand affiliation has yet to be confirmed, but the Hotel will surely fly the flag of one of the most important international chains in the Upscale Hotel segment.

Luca Boccato, CEO of H.n.h. Hotels & Resorts S.p.A. said:  "The opening of a Hotel in Rome has been in our plans for some years now, both in view of the city's prominence as a destination for business and leisure tourism and of our strong desire to be present in Italy’s capital city. The lease proposal made by Reale Immobili S.p.A. seemed immediately in line with our growth strategy. The property meets all our requirements: great location, adequate number of rooms and large common areas. In addition, the Sky Bar located on the eighth floor, the only open-air bar-restaurant in the Esquilino neighborhood, is definitely a distinctive feature that will allow us to stand out among other lodging options in the city. "

"Reale Immobili has always been involved in the management of Reale Group’s real estate assets; consisting primarily of entire buildings, located in central and desirable neighborhoods, mainly in the cities of Turin, Milan, Rome - said Alberto Ramella, General Manager of Reale Immobili - We are proud to have reached this agreement which allows us not only to strengthen our positioning in the capital's hospitality industry, but also to deliver a prestigious hotel, which will help create a valuable impact on the urban economic environment.
